Abstract
In this paper we propose a new TMUX based on Wilson expansion. Due to long overlapped basis functions it offers better stop-band attenuation and greater subchannel separation than TMUX based on DFT (DMT). Simultaneously, in contrary to TMUX based on cosine modulated filter banks it does not require computationally intensive channel equalisation by linear combining. Simple frequency-domain equalisation is enough because of exponential sine/cosine modulation, special choice of prototype filter and division of transmitted data into disjoint blocks. As it is shown proposed TMUX also enables low system delay, much higher immunity to intersymbol, intercarrier (ISI/ICI) and narrow band interference as compared to DMT, as well as low implementation cost similar to DMT.
