Abstract
This paper proposes a piecewise linear non-autonomous chaotic circuit including a switched inductor with time delay. The dynamics can be grasped by using piecewise exact solutions and one-dimensional return map can be derived rigorously. Then we have clarified tangent bifurcation route to chaos and have verified it in laboratory experiments
