Abstract
The authors present the properties of a proposed Israeli X-Ray Telescope designed to meet the constraints imposed by the Israel Space Agency. A few examples of X-ray observations which can be performed with the proposed telescope are given, and the scientific merits of these observations reviewed briefly. It is shown that the Israeli X-Ray Telescope can contribute significantly to understanding of some of the most enigmatic phenomena in astrophysics and cosmology
