Israel will orbit a satellite dedicated to scientific research as an intermediate stage between the low-orbit spinners of the OFFEQ family and the geo-synchronous communications satellites (AMOS). The experiment selected for deployment on the scientific platform is a three-channel imager in the ultraviolet. The design provides very significant scientific returns in a small payload
