Abstract
In this paper, a voltage source type high-frequency inverter operating at ZVS scheme is presented for driving a silent discharge (SD) type ozone generating tube load. An optimum design procedure of the series compensated resonant inductor which is specified for the capacitive load modeling of ozone generating tube is described herein. The effective discrete pulse modulated power regulation characteristics of voltage-fed load resonant inverter operating under PDM (pulse density modulation), PWM and PFM hybrid control strategy are illustrated along with its performances. This hybrid control treated here is more effective in achieving zero voltage switching, which can reduce switching losses and electromagnetic noise
