Abstract
The performances and parameters matches of the disc brakes directly impact on the vehicle safety. Firstly, using the traditional design theory design a disc brake, especially the eight main parameters were calculated, such as brake diameter, the disc thickness, brake torque and synchronous attachment coefficient etc. Then the brake 3D model was built in the Pro/E software, and using the Ansys software analysesed the strength and thermal performance of the brake. By the comparing, the design strength and the thermal stress of the disc brake are meeting the requirements. The CAD and CAE analysises are very easy and convenient.
