Abstract :
DSTATCOM exhibits high speed control of reactive power to provide voltage stabilization, flicker suppression and other types of system control. In this paper, a DSTATCOM with T-connected transformer and star/delta connected transformer are used to improve the power quality in presence of linear unbalanced and nonlinear loads. Also, a fast acting DSTATCOM is used instead of conventional DSTATCOM, which enhances the transient stability.
