Abstract :
Mathematical model of acquiring driving error and contact point of tooth surface is built and simulation analytical method is put forward based on principle of minimal orientation-distance. On this basis, driving error and contact point of gear pair can be calculated with relevant program when error exists, and driving error curve and contact area of gear pair could be achieved. Making use of this method, contact point condition of a pair of loxodrome normal circular-arc bevel gears is analyzed, then transmission error and contact area variation of it are analyzed when helix angle error exists. This method is simple and efficient and it applies to analysis of any kind of gear drive.
