Abstract
The purpose describes a novel device to measure heartbeat pulse during walking, as well as an application which informs the waves of exercise intensity while walking. The device is noninvasive, different from pulsimeter of watch type or type of attaching electrode to chest. It is a novel earphone type, because it has the functions not only to measure heartbeat pulse but also to generate sound tempo of music. It enables us to develop variety of applications. As an application, we develop a system which changes the rhythm speed of music depending on the heart rate speed, as well as the walking exercise intensity. The application leads walkers to be motivated to keep walking. The experiment device and the application give the results that walkers could control intensity by handling the application. This result is effective to keep constant exercise.
