  • Abstract
Coplanar rotational laminography (CRL) is a special case of laminography which is a radiographic technique used to image cross-sectional views through solid objects. In the case of CRL the film and object rotate synchronously, while the radiation source remains stationary. The image formed on the exposed film is highly blurred. Theoretical analysis of the image formation process shows that this blurring may be described as a convolution of the ideal image with a radially symmetric point spread function (PSF). Different assumptions regarding the image formation enable different variants of the PSF to be derived. Three variants of the PSF are derived and tested for restoration of simulated and real CRL cross-sectional images
