Abstract :
This paper presents an approach for evaluating local manufacturing firms´ technological capabilities in global production networks (GPNs). First, criteria that are suitable for evaluating the technological capabilities of local manufacturing firms in global production networks are established. Then, by introducing the concept of triangular fuzzy number into TOPSIS (technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution), a multiple criteria evaluation model with fuzzy information is presented. At last, an example is given to illustrate the use of the presented method.
