  • Abstract
The Kansai Electric Power Company, Inc. (KEPCO) developed an advanced distribution automation system (ADAS) using genetic algorithm (GA) method, and installed this system in some sales offices. This system can interchange electric power in larger area faster than before when a fault occurs in a distribution line on condition that utilization factor of the distribution line is high. This system is interconnected with other operation and business systems both inside and outside sales offices.
