Abstract
When sinusoidal speech models are used for coding purpose, it is necessary to design a smooth spectral envelope that connects the estimated harmonics. In this paper, a new method is introduced for parametric modeling of the spectral envelope in the presence of measurement noise. The proposed method is based on a penalised likelihood criterion which can be extended to the case of “mixed” (sinusoidal and noise) models
