Abstract

This paper describes the functionality, design and realisation of a 2-18GHz switched multiplexer. A two port, fast, multi-configurable filter bank with 8 equally spaced channels, each independently controllable. Allowing 256 possible combinations of overall band-pass or band-stop filter response with the capability of changing state in less than 100ns, allowing reconfiguration on a pulse-by-pulse basis in dense signal environments. The versatility of the architecture also enables higher levels of system integration to exploit the high degree of inherent channelisation
