Title :
Dynamical Model of the Claus Process and its Identification
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
The Claus process is widely used for sulfur recovery from H2S that is contained in natural gas and other fossil fuels. Control of the Claus reaction is difficult because of the nonlinear character and long dead time of the process. A dynamical model of the Claus process suitable for controller design and tuning is developed in this paper. The developed methodology was implemented in the design of the control system at a sulfur recovery plant.
