Abstract
The Weibull density function is used to estimate the wind energy potential of Zhurihe station, which is the windiest region at the Inner Mongolia of China. In the present study, the wind energy potential of this region is statistically analyzed based on one-year (2004) measured hourly average wind speed data. The probability density distributions are derived from time-series data and the two parameters of Weibull model are estimated. The wind energy potential of Zhurihe station is evaluated by the Weibull model.
