  • Abstract
    Retrieving the Initial Design Features from existing objects is not only a key issue to redesign a product, but also a way to raise reverse engineering to high level. Geometric constraint relations can not be maintained between the featured surface for reconstruction of CAD model at the time of design owning to the errors arising from measurement, manufacture, wear and tear and approximation error of surface. Based on the data segmentation of scattered point cloud and differential coefficient features, it integrates the topology constraint and conveniently finds the reference features of regular surface at the time of ordinal design. At the same time, it also acquires the reference features arising from regular combination and calculate the reference features of regular combination, in order to identify the reference features of ordinal design CAD modeling and positioning hidden in the scattered point clouds. it utilizes the basic features, fitting features and derived features, builds the topology constraint relations, finds the initial design feature, contains the parameter estimation of physical samples and builds constraint optimization solution of the initial design features based on the existed physical objects and scattered point cloud fitting parameters.
