Abstract
Over the last two decades, some groundbreaking research concerning propagation in solid-state plasma waveguides has been published in several journals. In this paper, we present a complementary finite element formulation for the analysis of this class of structure. It is formulated to calculate the complex propagation constant as a function of the experimental and material parameters of the gyroelectric magnetoplasma. The solver is validated against previously published experimental data for a parallel-plate wave-guide structure
