Abstract
Wideband measurements of the propagation channel in land mobile and satellite mobile communication systems are presented. After a short description of the measurement system the details of the measurement plans are discussed. The analysis of the measured data is mainly focused on the comparisons; the differences and similarities between the satellite and terrestrial systems are addressed. The investigations are mainly based on RMS delay spread/expected value plots. Analysis of maximum-value distributions of the wideband impulse responses are also presented
