  • Abstract
    To further study the crank-slider-CST protective device, the finite element models of car and truck with different kinds of low rear protective devices were built in VPG firstly. Then the full width rear-end crash simulation at the speed of 32Km/h was carried out in LS-DYNA. Finally, compared the acceleration, rebound velocity and inserting displacement of the front axis of the car. The simulation showed that the significant effect of the crank-slider-CST device in acceleration, rebound velocity and inserting displacement.
