Abstract
The configuration and application of electric submersible pump cable demands careful consideration of temperature effects on the cable materials. Tests were conducted to develop correlation factors and modifications to the Neher-McGrath thermal model. These disclose the unique features of the cable. A series of equations are presented. Application charts are provided to assist the user in proper selection of the cable
