Abstract
In this paper, we present a new algorithm of DDS (Direct Digital Synthesizer) as to how to improve the performance of the conventional AWG (Arbitrary Wave Generator). In the view of some waveform being odd symmetry or even symmetry, we take the samples of part of the waveform as the waveform look-up table, which can save at least one half Rom resource of FPGA. On the other hand, we use an ultra high speed, dual-side data multiplexing, single-output DAC to convert two groups of the digital output signal of the waveform look-up table at one time, which can increase the output frequency twice.
