Abstract :
The introduction of multi criteria decision making (MCDM) methods requires thorough investigation of the decision problem, systematic mapping of the decision maker´s knowledge and establishment of a representative value model. The process of extracting and structuring information can be improved by applying methods for knowledge acquisition, and this paper describes three such methods. The paper also discusses possible organizational effects from the investigation of the decision process and the development of a new methodology for decision making based on MCDM
