Abstract :
A planar inverted U-shaped patch antenna with high-gain operation for Wi-Fi/WiMAX has been proposed and investigated. It provides relatively wider impedance bandwidth of 180 MHz covering the 2.4 GHz band (2400-2484 MHz). The proposed planar patch antenna also provides the directional radiation patterns with maximum peak antenna gain of 7.5 dBi across the operating band.
