Abstract
In this paper, a dimension reduction-based sub-entire domain basis function method is proposed to analyze the finite periodic structures. The key idea of this method is to reduce the number of unknowns by organizing the elements along a direction, i. e. the y-axis, into a ¿new¿ element, which is called as a reduced element. Numerical examples are given to validate the accuracy.
