  • Abstract
    First experimental results on a working super passive optical network (PON) lab demonstrator are reported and evaluated. It is shown, that a cascade of 3 SOAs in upstream direction can support already a range of 50 km and splitting of 2048. Further a dynamic range up to 20dB was measured in the drop section
