Abstract :
Fundamental concept of left handed ferrite circuits and devices is discussed with three categories of microwave applications. One is the left handed edge guided mode in the ferrite microstrip line, which leads to the microwave isolator of high dynamics. Second is the rectangular metal waveguide below cutoff loaded with ferrite periodic structure, which leads to a compact tunable filter. Third is a left handed ferrite gyrator circuits with periodic geometry, which leads to nonreciprocal phase shifters
