  • Abstract
    Dynamic control of threshold voltage (Vt) using FlexfetTM independently-double-gated CMOS provides circuit tuning capability to counter global and local process variations. This tuning capability is demonstrated on digital logic gates manufactured with 0.18 mum Flexfet CMOS transistors. The dynamic Vt control can also provide a basis for superior efficiency in ultra-low-power applications by allowing dynamic tuning of power versus performance on an as-needed basis.
