Abstract
A powerful Green´s Theorem formulation to describe the relationship between the current stimulus in a coaxial excitation probe and the resultant electromagnetic fields inside an overmoded coaxial airspace is enunciated. It includes the waveguide geometry, the modal field solution, the probe excitation current distribution, higher order mode propagation, a variable probe length and general coaxial terminations in the secondary waveguide. It is used here to successfully predict the resonances of a coaxial cavity, and the complex reflection coefficients of an unknown coaxial load
