Abstract :
In terms of the spherical vector wave functions in source-free uniaxial anisotropic medium and the first and second kinds of spherical Bessel functions satisfying the same differential equation and recursive formula, the electromagnetic fields in homogeneous spherical uniaxial medium can be expanded as the sum of the first and second spherical vector wave functions in uniaxial anisotropic media. Applying the continuity in boundary conditions on the surface of two uniaxial anisotropic media, the expansion coefficients of scattered fields can be obtained and calculated in terms of spherical vector wave function in isotropic medium (free space). The EM scattered by radially multilayered uniaxial anisotropic spheres can be characterized where some numerical results of scattering by radially multilayered uniaxial anisotropic spheres are illustrated.
