  • Abstract
In this paper, the proposed monopole antenna is designed to cover the global system for mobile communication (890-960 MHz), digital communication system (1710-1880 MHz), personal communication system (1850-1990 MHz), and universal mobile telecommunication system (1920-2170 MHz) bands for mobile phone. The proposed antenna has a folded current path operating three frequency modes at 900 MHz, 1.8 GHz and 2.4 GHz, moreover. By using the C-strip line on the left hand side of proposed antenna, good impedance matching and four application bands can be achieved. Simulated and measured results are shown in this paper. The detailed configuration of the proposed antenna and experimental results are also discussed.
