Abstract :
Data center monitoring has evolved from a simple alert system, into a critical element required for maximizing uptime and ensuring the increasingly complex environment within running effectively and efficiently. The paper presents alternatives for monitoring the location of the RO-14-ITIM Grid site, which is located in the National Institute for Research and Development of Isotopic and Molecular Technologies Cluj-Napoca (INCDTIM), a key data center in the Nord-West part of Romania. The systems are monitoring the temperature, humidity, power failure, proximity, network, water leak and one of them is capable of double communication, meaning that a back call into the datacenter could activate a microphone for listen the activity in the location.
