Abstract :
In this paper, a V-band fan beam reflector back array antenna is introduced. This is made up of two main parts, namely a planar array and a main reflector and enables an easy implementation. The reflector part is connected to the ground of planar array that makes the reflector not an ordinary parasitic element. The proposed antenna has dimensions 4.65×31×2.63 mm3 including the reflector. For 60 GHz wireless LAN applications, a high antenna gain is required to overcome the propagation losses. In addition, to maximize the azimuth coverage, this antenna has a fan beam pattern in V-band at 58.8-60.8 GHz. The gain for proposed antenna at 60 GHz is 15.2 dBi. The numerical analysis shows that the proposed antenna can be a good candidate for 60 GHz wireless LAN applications.
