  • Abstract
The catalytic degradation properties of Fe-based amorphous alloys with different compositions on phenol contaminants were studied, and the results showed that the Fe78Si9B13 possesses superior catalytic activity than the Fe73.5Nb3Cu1Si13.5B9. Samples annealed at temperature of 100°C for 24h were proved to have higher catalytic degradation rate than the original ones. Kinetics analysis based on the experimental dates elucidated that the phenol degradation process can be described by the first-order kinetic model. Structural analysis through XRD, DSC and SEM demonstrated that there is a closed relationship between the catalytic activities of the Fe-based amorphous and the amorphous structure.
