Empirical study on factors affecting housing price-to-income ratio in China

Abstract :
Based on China´s provincial panel data from 1996 to 2006, this paper investigates into the factors affecting China´s housing price-to-income ratio. It is concluded that: Both growth rate of per capita GDP and working structure ratio affects housing price-to-income ratio positively while the increase of household garbage treatment ratio promotes housing price-to-income ratio as a whole, and that education expenditure ratio imposes a negative impact on it.
