Abstract
A wavelength stabilization method of a widely tunable superstructure-grating (SSG) DBR laser is presented for the first time. A novel control scheme for tuning currents keeps stable operations at fixed wavelengths against wavelength changes of ±0.5 nm in SSG-DBRs and longitudinal modes. Thus, a tunable SSG-DBR laser is stabilized at 16 wavelengths spaced by 1.6 nm (200 GHz)
