  • Abstract
As is widely recognized, dissolved gas analysis is a very valuable tool in a preventive/predictive program for power transformer equipment. As is quickly realized by anyone starting out to perform this function, it is a convoluted, less than crystal-clear technique, which is still not far removed from the realm of art instead of science. Here, the author describes how the use of expert systems can help in the insulation diagnosis of power transformer insulating oils
