Abstract
Two types of high-performance uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs) that use an AC-to-AC power converter have been designed and tested. The proposed topologies are suitable for small and light UPSs. One is an isolated type, and the other is a nonisolated type. The latter is found to be more efficient
