Abstract :
A nonlinear analysis of the chirp of the optical frequency during a short optical pulse is reported in which the full nonlinear effects are included. The procedure takes the mode amplitudes and phases resulting from a previously reported nonlinear analysis technique and uses Fourier transform methods to determine the chirp. The results are compared to those of previously reported linearized methods
