Renovation design of traditional blocks based on experience: The study of Xuzhou former committee block

In combination with the case study of Xuzhou former committee block, this article attempts to consider experience as the core of renovation design of traditional blocks. Based on expression of non-verbal elements and combined with the project characteristics, this paper imitates the movie art of "montage" which uses the strategy of arrangement of groups, decomposition and reconstruction, cross juxtaposition and "clipping" the semi-fixed feature elements in the blocks, in an effort to create an exciting feeling of space and to realize the significance of renovation of traditional blocks.
