Abstract
An X-band pod sensor employing a 9-inch dish antenna on the underside of Boeing 707 is subjected to pattern blockage from the wings, engine, and fuselage depending on the look angles and aircraft banking. The numerical electromagnetic code (NEC)-basic scattering code is used to analyse pattern blockage, including aircraft scattering structures.
