  • Abstract
Transfer function analyzers (TFA) represent an important equipment used in system identification, control system design and analysis. In system identification, the classical solution that uses transfer function analyzers is based on multipliers, which are the most difficult components to be implemented and are also error prone. The authors propose a novel, simpler solution than the conventional TFA that avoids the use of the multipliers. The new TFA is based on a special kind of electronic rectification, the result of this new approach being practically the same as with the classical TFA.
