  • Abstract
    A technique for avoiding signal distortion when applying Compression/Range Switching to circuits with functional State Variables is presented. It is applicable to analog circuits/systems with memory, like Switched Capacitor, Switched Current and Continuous Time filters, /spl Sigma/-/spl Delta/ Data Converters, Chopper and Lock-in Amplifiers. Distortion free operation is obtained by properly updating the circuit´s State Variables. Power consumption is significantly reduced due to the elimination of unnecessary SNR.
