Abstract
Magnetic tunable left-handed material composed of ferrite-dielectric and metallic mesh is proposed and verified. We discuss the variation of electromagnetic parameters due to the change of three flexible geometry parameters: the lattice constant, the line width of the mesh, and the thickness of dielectric. The mesh affects the permittivity but does not affect the frequency range of negative permeability, while the thickness of dielectric will affect both permittivity and permeability. The topology and the external magnetic field both affect the central frequency and bandwidth of the left-handed region.
