Abstract :
The analytic and numerical technique developed in Gherm et al. (2000) for the description of transionospheric fluctuational paths of propagation has been further extended to study the effect of spatial coherency and correlation in connection with the technique of differential GPS. Numerical results have been shown characterising quantitatively how the spatial coherency distance and the additional fluctuational range error depends on the co-ordinates and orientation of the path of propagation. For the most accurate positioning systems, these additional fluctuational range errors should be accounted for
