Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to investigate a new approach for the synthesis, design and optimization of electronic filters in a high volume production environment for modern digital communication systems by using automatic parameterization of 3D geometries. The design of waveguide bandpass filters by EPFIL is considered. EPFIL is described itself, and the two actual filter implementations are presented. Measurement on a fabricated bandpass filter confirms the accuracy of design procedure
