Abstract
The Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta is in a unique position of having a campus located in the heart of the Lorraine region of France in the city of Metz. Since the number of faculty at GTL is limited, some courses must be offered in non-traditional formats. We describe some of our current approaches to Internet course delivery, which involve the use of streaming media. Although there are many advantages to Internet distance learning, we describe what we see are the most important problems and pitfalls and present our view of the future of Internet distance learning
