Abstract :
The paper has indicated the manner in which the cascaded bandpass sigma-delta a-d conversion technique can meet the demanding RF performance requirements of an HF radar system. High sample rate, continuous time baseband, sigma-delta A-D conversion may offer the possibility of digitising the HF signal directly in future, but linearity and phase noise requirements could prove to be a limiting factor
