  • Abstract
In response to the growing demand (Intelsat, Eutelsat) of for Ku-band steerable spot antennas with elliptical, steerable and rotatable beams, Alenia Spazio developed the concept of elliptical beam rotation through a Gregorian configuration. These antennas are capable of meeting severe requirements of efficiency and polarization purity for fixed planes of polarization, The present paper describes the optimization and design of the first application of this concept for the Eutelsat W24 satellites under development at Aerospatiale.
