Abstract :
We have calculated the site attenuation for a type of conical log-periodic spiral (CLPS) antenna used for receiving and have shown the characteristics of the CLPS antenna. It was found that the standard CLPS antenna loses polarization information in the measured site attenuation. It also became clear that the antenna factor remains nearly constant for the receiving antenna over the scanning range except for null points of the electric field. Our calculated results can be useful in establishing the specifications for CLPS antennas for microwave EMC/EMI measurements.
